
David DeFilippo is the principal coach and consultant of DeFilippo Leadership Inc. which provides executive coaching, leadership development and talent management solutions to organizations.
Since the early part of his career as a high school teacher and track coach David has remained passionate about developing processes and plans for individuals and organizations to reach their full potential. David’s 25-year corporate career in executive human capital roles combined with his doctoral research focused on executive coaching brings both strong methodology and practicality to his work.
During his executive career, David and his teams have been recognized with industry awards for practices such as leadership development, performance management and cultural assimilation. David presents and publishes regularly on topics related to leadership development, executive coaching and talent management. He was previously a columnist for Chief Learning Officer Magazine and served on the magazine’s Editorial Advisory Board.
David received his Bachelor’s degree from Union College, his Master’s from New York University and his Doctorate with distinction from the University of Pennsylvania. David is also a graduate of Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching Program and is an International Coach Federation Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
David previously served on the Tabor Academy board of trustees and on the Corporation for the Perkins School for Blind. David, his wife Lisa and their pack of terriers live in the Boston area.
