
David DeFilippo is the principal coach and consultant of DeFilippo Leadership, Inc. which provides executive coaching, leadership development and human capital management solutions to organizations.
Since the early part of his career as a high school teacher and track coach David has remained passionate about developing processes and plans for individuals and organizations to reach their full potential. David’s 25-year corporate career in executive talent management and development roles combined with his doctoral research focused on executive coaching brings both strong methodology and practicality to his work.
During the course of his career, David and his teams have been recognized with industry awards for practices such as leadership development, performance management and cultural integration. David presents and publishes regularly on topics related to leadership development, executive coaching and talent management. He is a columnist for Chief Learning Officer Magazine and serves on the magazine’s Advisory Board.
David received his Bachelor’s degree from Union College, his Master’s from New York University and his Doctorate with distinction from the University of Pennsylvania. David is also a graduate of Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching Program, is an International Coach Federation Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
David serves as a member of the Tabor Academy board of trustees where he graduated in 1984. David, his wife Lisa and their pack of terriers live in the Boston area.
